Tape or discs?
We sell both and they suit different shapes of problem.
Discs cover a point. One tree, one corner of a balcony, one mast.
Tape covers a line. A row of raspberries, a run of fence, the length of a pergola, the
guard rail of a boat. If what you are protecting is long and thin, tape is the better shape
and it is usually cheaper per metre covered.
Hanging it so it works
Two things matter and both are easy to get wrong.
Leave a little slack. Tape pulled drum tight cannot twist, and twisting is most of the
effect. A gentle catenary between two points is what you want.
Put it where the wind is. Along the open side of a row, above the crop rather than down
in it, across a gap rather than against a wall. A sheltered run does nothing at all.

Moving it
Every week or two. Different height, different line, an extra run somewhere new. This is the
step people skip and it is the difference between a season of usefulness and a fortnight.
